SIVE, the Italian Equine Veterinary Association invites authors to submit scientific abstracts for oral presentation of original works.  Papers relating to the most recent studies in clinical and research aspects of Equine Medicine and Surgery will be taken into consideration; practice-oriented works will be particularly appreciated.

ABSTRACTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN ENGLISH

For abstract submission please visit the ABSTRACT SUBMISSION CENTRE at web site http://abstract.evsrl.it/. The system will follow you while filling the fields. A username and password for the EGO System is necessary to access the ABSTRACT SUBMISSION CENTRE. In order to obtain a username and password please visit the EGO Home Page at http://ego.evsrl.it/. Username and password will be sent within 24 hours.

The ABSTRACT SUBMISSION CENTRE will follow you while filling in the following fields:

1. WORK / ABSTRACT TYPE
2. TITLE
Title of the work must be in CAPITAL LETTER, maximum length 180 characters including spaces
3. SUBJECT
4. ADDRESS FOR CORRESPONDENCE
5. AUTHORS
6. TEXT AND REFERENCES

Maximum 5400 characters including spaces. Abstracts exceeding 5400 characters will be rejected.
Graphs, images, tables, and photos will not be published. Bibliographic references are compulsory. Abstract without bibliographic references will be rejected. Any reference in the text to the authors’ Institution or practice will cause rejection of the abstract.

CHAPTERS

Original works must be divided into the following headings: objectives, materials, methods, results, and conclusion.

Clinical cases must be subdivided into the following chapters: introduction, case description and discussion.

The statement “results will be discussed” is not acceptable. Abstracts that do not respect these guidelines will not be accepted. 

ETHICAL STANDARDS

The abstract must respect ethical standards. Experimental procedures should be authorized by ethical committees of the presenting institution; unnecessary suffering on animals will cause rejection of the abstract.

CONGRESS REGISTRATION

THE AUTHOR/SPEAKER OF AN ACCEPTED WORK WILL RECEIVE A FREE FULL REGISTRATION.

The Author for papers accepted as Poster presentation will register at 50% off.

DEADLINES

September 15th, 2026. Deadline for submitting abstracts online

Abstract will be reviewed.

November 10^th, 2026. Abstract will be sent back to Authors if a review is requested.

November 20^th, 2026. Abstract sent back to Congress Committee by authors 

COMMUNICATIONS TO THE AUTHORS

A final selection will be made, and authors are informed by December 15^th ,2026 - by e-mail.

PRESENTATION AT CONGRESS

The oral presentation must be held in English. Power point presentation must be in English. Twelve (12) minutes will be assigned for oral presentations and a further three (3) minutes for discussion and questions.

POSTER

Posters will be considered in case of exceeding accepted works presented as original com.

A copy for the Poster in jpg format must be sent by January 15^th2027 to SIVE secretary by e-mail info@sive.it

The surface area for Posters is 100 cm. high x 80 cm wide.  At the top of the poster, the title, author(s) and affiliation(s) should be printed in letters at least 5 cm high.  The body of the poster should be readable from a distance of at least one meter.

Posters should be placed on the Boards with Velcro (provided by the organization). 

Where possible, results should be presented graphically.

Posters must be put up on the first morning of the conference and will be exhibited for its duration.  Special times for discussion of posters will be indicated on the final scientific program.
